After nine days in the hospital, Kanye West has been released from the UCLA Medical Center after being treated for sleep and water deprivation, as well as reports of extreme depression and paranoia. He was released under the care of his wife Kim Kardashian as well as his personal physician Dr. Michael Farzam.
While this is a big step forward for Yeezy, he is reportedly not out of the woods yet and will need ongoing mental and psychological care.
West raised questions about his mental health when he cut short his “Life Of Pablo” tour following a rant about his support for Donald Trump and disdain for Beyoncéand Jay Z.
It has been reported that his demanding workload, Kim‘s Paris robbery, on October 3rd, and the anniversary of his mother’s death contributed to what amounted to a substantial mental breakdown. A source close to the family told Us, “He’s been shaken up ever since the robbery in Paris.” Adding, “It did a number on him as much as Kim. The mere thought that anything could happen to her sent him in a tailspin. He wasn’t sleeping and he was having nightmares about it.”
Now that Kanye has been released, we hope that Kim and Kanye can put these difficult months behind.
