While the rest of the country prepares for the terrifying reality of Donald Trump‘s America, President Barack Obama is celebrating all that he, and his administration, have achieved over the last 8 years.

On Friday night, Obama hosted a farewell party at the White House, inviting some of his now longtime celebrity pals.

Amongst those in attendance were John Legend and his wife Chrissy TeigenDavid Letterman, Paul McCartneyRobert De Niro, Stevie Wonder, Charles Barkley, George Clooney, Bradley CooperMeryl Streep, Samuel L. Jackson, Magic Johnson, Tom Hanks, Rev. Al Sharpton, Jerry Seinfeld, Steven Spielberg, and more.

While Obama has always been a president for the people, it is clear that he was a close friend and hero of many of America’s biggest celebrities as well. This puts into the stark contrast the multiple reports that A-listers have been denying invitations to Trump’s upcoming inauguration in droves.

While it’s true that most celebs don’t have as much to fear about the incoming administration’s agenda, including the dedication to repealing Obamacare and lowering taxes on the rich, PEOTUS’ Twitter fingers and his hunger for nuclear war affects us all. President Obama, you will be missed.
