Stacey Dash has finally broken her silence about the possibility of continuing her starring role on VH1's Single Ladies. She has released a statement exclusively to GlobalGrind,

Hurricane Irene has been pounding the East Coast since yesterday afternoon.  It first made landfall in North Carolina and has traveled up the East Coast, hitting Maryland, Washington, DC, Philadelphia, New York City and will hit New England as well.

**UPDATE** There were no reports of major damage, deaths or injuries from the 5.9 magnitude quake.  A 5.9 earthquake hit Northern Virginia this afternoon sending shocks felt as far as Toronto, Boston and New York.  This is the largest earthquake felt in Virginia since 1987. 

Nick Ashford of the legendary Motown group, Ashford and Simpson, has died today at the age of 70. He had throat cancer.  His long-time friend and publicist Liz Rosenberg told the Associated Press the sad news this afternoon.

Rick Rypien has died.  Shocking news out of the NHL tonight as Rick Rypien, forward for the Winnepeg Jets  was found dead.  There is no foul play suspected, however Rick Rypien has suffered from depression and mental problems for the past few years.
