Should ESPN Report on Its Own Journalists?

This Davis accusation of Chris Mortensen is also reported by the LA Times. Now I have no idea whether this charge has any merit, but that is not the point. The question is should ESPN report this part? So how would ESPN handle this nugget? Well, their main article of the firing was written by… Chris Mortensen. No mention there which was not surprising, but Mortensen notably left out Davis accusations of Kiffin being a “flat-out liar” and “disgrace to the organization”. Soundbites like these — whether true or false — rarely get passed up, and it does seem to suggest that Mortensen is sympathetic to Kiffin’s side which was presented.
