MTV Claims Reports of Banned GaGa Video Are False

Posted March 15, 2010 by admin for Global Grind Staff

CNN and Fox News have both reported that the new Lady Gaga/Beyonce video is too steamy for the normally cutting edge network. Apparently Telephone was too hot to handle for MTV and was pulled from the station on Saturday.

Yet MTV representatives have denied these allegations tweeting 'MTV has NOT banned Lady Gaga's 'Telephone' video, despite weekend reports.'

The network also released an official statement on their website. MTV Executive Vice President of Music and Talent Amy Doyle stated, 'MTV did not ban lady Gaga and Beyonce's Telephone video-in fact we premiered it on Friday, March 12, on-air and online at MTV.com, two days before this story was falsely reported.' Doyle goes on to say 'Fans can continue to catch the video as we repeat it on-air and online.'

The video which has prison fights, lesbian kissing, mass murder along with two deluxe crime spreeing divas, was highly anticipated and has gained over 12 million views on YouTube.
