50 Cent Experiments With 'Black Magic'

Posted March 19, 2010 by admin for Global Grind Staff

With news of plans to record his fifth studio album, 50 Cent plans to get a little experimental with the album to be titled 'BlackMagic.' According to the rapper the music on this new album is inspired by the music heard while touring in Europe, taking a 'more up-tempo, more dance' kind of vibe.

In an interview with radio host Tim Westwood 50 Cent reaffirmed that the album won't be totally unrecognizable to fans. According to Fifty the biggest difference will be the structure of the music stating 'It's still 50 Cent on the record...i'm using different song formats. I'll write a rap song in the sequence of a different kind of record.'

he goes on to say 'A traditional Hip-Hop record has three sixteen-bar verses. So to write it in a different format instead of writing in the way a traditional rap record is written, it's to experiment with different things. It's still Hip Hop music, still 50 Cent content. It's just written in a different way.'  So far Fifty has recorded three tracks for 'Black Magic.'
