Nike Air Yeezys gave Kanye West more power than he probably knows. In 2009 Kanye West was blessed with the chance to design a sneaker with Nike and put it on the retail shelves. Nike had never before collborated with a musician for more than a special limited edition release on a sneaker. Kanye West’s Nike Air Yeezy had three colorway last summer and released nationwide; in consecutive monthly releases April, May, and the last colorway released in June. The were only about 2 stores in each major city to get pairs and the sneakers were very limited causing major sneakerheads to campout for his sneaker. The sneakers were extremely limited and if you want a pair today they will run you $600 plus… Now that’s POWER! It is definitely great to have Kanye West back in the music game as the industry was definitely missing his power.
