Respect!

Hey folks sorry it's taken me so long to get at yall with a blog but so much shznit has been going on with me I've neglected to blog! My bad! The good folks have global grind have been really getting at a brother for that! And I truly apologize to the whole entire community! So hears what's on my mind!

Respect!

Can we get back to the era where respect meant something? Can we get back to where we wouldn't dare say a curse word in front of an elder? What happened to that? We have so much going for us as black folks but we need to learn or get back to basic respect! We tend to respect the wrong people in our communities! We respect drug dealers, murderers, rapists, kidnappers etc. What happened to respect for the common man/woman who works hard everyday and takes care of the family?! We too busy trying to find a reason to respect the imbecile from some dumb ass reality show cause we assume that they are getting some astronomical amount of money for making a fool of themselves on television! Case in point: Real and Chance from the Vh1 reality show of the same name. I overheard someone say the other day that they respect their hustle! Huh? They make black people look like idiots on the world stage! What's respectable about that?! And the women who participate in these shows for 15 minutes of fame and a bs check ain't no better than them. Their are plenty of heroes within our community that we should be respecting. All you have to do is look. Give our children something to be proud of. Have some integrity, and only show respect to those who truly deserve it!
