You know what Fathers have been getting the short end of the stick for a minute and for the most part do right by our kids. depending on the situation you baby mom cant put her own issues with you aside for the benefit of the child. Because there feelings might be hurt. Fathers need to understand some of these ladies intention F'up or not keeping full focus on the children despite what obstacles you go through.

Fellas putting money on the table is not what a father is nor will it ever be. Being a parent is a combination of things not just about the money. Holding your child when he is scared and teaching him that fear is natural, encouraging your child to dream big and to work hard to make his dreams come true, teaching your child to say I can instead of I can't etc. There are a multitude of things that a Parent must teach a child and no amount of money can account for the love a child should receive in excess. Allbeit true that love does not pay the rent or put food on the table, but just remember just cause you put the money on the table does not make you a good parent!!! To Nas keep your head up and be honest it will always come to light.

Why is it that many women in this country think that the should be a baby mama and so they dont need to work? What kind of example are they setting for their daughters find a man get pregnant and leech of him. If you are divorcing and you are disabled, mentally ill or at retirement age I can understand. I was shocked when I read the story about Kelis wanting to live a certain lifestyle sounding like she cant take care of herself. I hope its not true. Cant she do reality shows or find other jobs to do that can make her own money. How did she survive before she met you? What happened if u had gotten seriously ill or were in an accident or became bankrupt and lost your way of providing for her would she have left u then. Sounds like she would have been on a bullet train. I like TI's method of dealing with this baby mama issue, just provide for the child and let the mother work.


As a father I hope you are teaching your daughter the right way and ensure she is independent and feels she doesn't have to depend on hand-outs from men. Keep trying to be a good father ur deeds are never unnoticed by your kids. Later in life they will look back on all these things.

First and foremost Nas I want to extend the utmost respect for you for keeping your personal business "personal". I'm a single mom of 2 boys that are practically grown. My whole household loves you. Been a huge fan of yours since 40-05 21st Ave days (80"s baby). I can't stand stupidity. I hated that you married her, and now she has confirmed everyones thoughts whether she knows this or not. A lot might be because of her emotions during this pregnancy, but it's mean. To think all this time you were getting it on with someone that didn't give a damn about you. ANGRY.



I'm really proud that you didn't respond negative to Kelis' smart ass comments. Yes, you're an entertainer but 1st you're a "Man". She should be old enough to comprehend that, and just walk away quietly. Something like a "Woman". The bottom line is that she is tryin' to put you out there. She will be sorry when "karma" hits her. listen...a lot of people have come on here with the negative comments and its just not needed. Fathers day is a day to honor the REAL men. who stood up and took responsibilty for wat they created. and for the real men who stood up and took responsibility for something they did not create(stepdads and father-figures).
