King of the Couture Jungle: Chanel at Paris Fashio

Posted July 7, 2010 by admin for Global Grind Staff

Taking a step back in time for his Autumn/Winter 2010/2011 haute couture collection show, Karl Lagerfeld’s models climbed the social ladder from peasant chic to medieval princess on July 6th at the Grand Palais. A gargantuan golden lion (an oh-so-modest homage to the label’s late founder, Coco, a Leo) guarded an oversized pearl from which the models emerged on Tuesday evening, clad in jewel tone A-line dresses complimented by cropped jackets with three-quarter sleeves.

There to witness the ferocious feline in all its splendor was the always-stunning Jessica Alba in a flirty white frock, accented by ruby red belt and lips. Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester and model Milla Jovovich could also be spotted in the front row.
