Hello Global Grinders!

It has been a while since my last post but I've been super busy traveling all over the place..sheessh :)

Now that I have a moment to sit down and reflect, I wanted to talk to you about something I have recently noticed. I am a lil surprised at the number of people that seem to disapprove of the relationship with my boyfriend. I find this reality to be kind of hard to accept. There are times when I notice people giving us long hard stares and those stares are usually from my own people!

Honestly, I wish everyone could benefit from the beauty that can come from experiences that happen outside of your own comfort zone. It is truly a beautiful thing that can add so much to your life.

Give it a shot and you can learn so much from a person you never thought you'd talk to or have something in common with. I'm not just talking about dating but about all types of relationships.

Sometimes society makes it hard for us to be comfortable enough in our own skin to embrace others who are different.

I am a firm believer that we are all the same.

Basically what I'm saying is love everyone. Rise above the hate.

I don't feel like this subject gets enough attention, so I thought I would share this with my GG family.

Ok, well I'm done preaching! I'm going back to work...

Don't worry Angela! Although I dig TK all day, I'm sure you both had your reasons to split. Im a white guy and my girlfriend is black, and of course you hear a lot of crap from ignorant people. But like you say! Rise above it! Keep the positive energy flowing!

Well, i would like to say as long as your happy love him and be happy everyday for it. No one can judge u but god! I know that u want every one to enjoy your happy moment but forget that the pickins are slim and if he makes u happy then go 4 it good men are hard to find.

Dear Angela,

I am also black as they would call it. But what you don't see is that I am of mixed origine my dad is Indian(from India) and my mom isis black. I Live in Holland Rotterdam to be precise. I have a white boyfriend and the hate amongst black people with interracial couples is the same here. I have had reamrks on the street whem we were walking together like any other regular couple. I even had a guy come up to me to say My body wasn't made for a white guy.

I really don't understand this coming from a already mixed family I know there nothing wrong with it. It's nice to broaden your view in any way friends, food, culture!Most of the black community agrees to that. Why not love, the one you can not control, because it is an emotion.

I think that we as black people fought so much for our equal rights and to prejudice. I really don't understand that we stille are prejudice ourselfs to others. It hypocritical and should stop this instand!!

I hope I support you in this way in your relationship. And although I'm on the other side of de world I understand you completely and black people struggle with same issues everywere. And like KFC everywhere to :)

I AM IN A INTERRACIAL RELATIONSHIP OR MARRIAGE AND HAVE KIDS AND IT'S THE PERSON NOT THE COLOR THAT MAKE ME LOVE HIM WITHIN TIME I THINK YR FAMILY AND FRIENDS WILL COME AROUND MINE HAS FOR ME . PUT GOD FIRST AND THE REST WILL FALL IN TO PLACE.
