This week, you can hear some great music, help out a local charity and see how supermodel Tyra Banks had a hand in keeping a few West Michigan kids warm this winter.

    5. Answer’s Holiday Dinner and Concert. The nonprofit group’s annual fundraiser, which helps low-caste children in Nepal, will feature food, a Nepali bazaar and entertainment by David Lockington and friends of the Grand Rapids Symphony, including David Hall, Sean Ivory and John Varineau. The event is 4-9 p.m. Nov. 15 in Wege Auditorium at Aquinas College, 1607 Robinson Road SE. Tickets are $50 person; reservations are being accepted by calling 336-1090, or online at answer-nepal.org.

    4. #Brandon Heath.# In a recent “Going Gonzo” blog, I mentioned rocker Lita Ford and Christian artist Brandon Heath in the same sentence. That was strange. But do yourself a favor and check out Heath, an award-winning singer and songwriter from Nashville, when he headlines a Thursday concert that also will feature Leeland and Francesca Battistelli. The 7 p.m. show is at Community Reformed Church, 10376 Felch St., in Zeeland. Tickets are $15 and $20, available at Star Tickets outlets, (800) 585-3737 or startickets.com.
