The Housewives That Took It Too Far

Well, we’re gearing up to welcome another set of pseudo B-list celebs. “The Real Housewives of D.C.” premieres tomorrow night on Bravo at 10pm, amidst a flurry of controversy already surrounding the crazies of Season 2 of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey.” In looking at past seasons, there seems to always be an, um, social misfit (for lack of a better description) who, as much as we want to smack in the mouth, we end up pitying. As we delve further and further into each season, a clear loser always emerges who just keeps digging herself further and further into a dark, lonely hole. It generally ends up like a car crash: as much as you want to look away, you simply have to keep watching the horror unfold.

Should I start with the prostitution ring, the excessive coke usage, or the kidnapping of a rich kid who owed her drug-dealing boyfriend? And let’s not forget her sex tape (although why you would flaunt a botched boob job like that is beyond me). I’m not going to say that reformation is impossible, but she’s definitely had a bumpy ride.
