Tyrese Wants The Ex Off Of The Gravy Train

Tyrese Gibson filed for divorce from his wife, former model Norma Mitchell citing “irreconcilable differences” after 10 months of marriage. This divorce battle has been an up hill battle for Tyrese.

Mitchell signed a pre nup agreement which should have resolved all matters between the two minus custody and other matters pertaining to their daughter, Shayla Somer Gibson. The pre nup seems to have worked against Tyrese instead of for him.

“…star claims that despite having a pre-nup agreement, he has “already paid $75,000 worth of respondents professional fees and costs for a marriage which lasted less than 10 months. Prior to this 10 month marriage, respondent and I entered into a prenutpial agreement which resolved all issues between us, other than those pertaining to our minor child.”

“Gibson’s attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan requested that Norma take a vocational exam! “Ms. Gibson can and should seek employment and is lawfully employable in the United States at this time.” (RadarOnline)

It is hard to believe this is going on when recently Tyrese appeared on the cover of the latest edition of Upscale magazine. In this issue, he “some major mistakes in the past” while married however, never went into specifics.

He tells Upscale, “I filed for divorce. I’m not perfect. I’ve made some major mistakes in the past and she has too. Sometimes marriages just don’t work out.”

“There’s gonna be moments where the energy is funky and uncomfortable, but do your part,” Tyrese argues. “There’s a lot of people in your life that you do not necessarily get along with or are not on the same page with, and you’re still in their life. So do what you have to do so that you can do what you want to do, which is spend time with your child.” (Upscale Magzine)

Tyrese Gibson currently has custody of his daughter 6 days a week except when he is traveling.

Tyrese Gibson and Norma Mitchell are scheduled to appear in court July 27.
