Chris Brown Says He Didn't Black Out

There have been reports on the internet that I didn’t remember what happened that night with Rihanna.  I want to try and set things straight.

That 30 seconds of the interview they used of me was taken from a one hour interview during which that same question was asked something like 4 or 5 times -- and when you look at the entire interview you will see it is not representative of what I said.

The first four times – or how ever many times it was - I gave the same answer -- which was that I didn’t think it was appropriate for me to talk about what happened that night.  I said it was not right for me and it really wasn’t fair to Rihanna.  The fifth time – or whatever it was – I just misspoke. I was asked, “Do you remember doing it?” and I said, “No.”

Of course I remember what happened. Several times during the interview, my mother said that I came to her right afterwards and told her everything.  But it was and still is a blur. And yes, I still can’t believe it happened because it is not me or who I am or is what happened like anything I have ever done before.

As I have said several times previously, I am ashamed of and sorry for what happened that night and I wish I could relive that moment and change things, but I can’t.  I take full responsibility for my actions. What I have to do now is to prove to the world that this was an isolated incident and that is not who I am and I intend to do so by my behavior now and in the future.

  • Chris u sorry ass thier is no resone 2 hit a feamle
  • i believe you. the media really needs to let this be the past. its over, done. he's getting help and is facing the consequences, chris and rihanna cant move on with their lifes if they are constantly reminde of that night
  • i think that they just need to leave chris brown alone everybody make mistakes in life it the past and they should leave it like that. The more yallv talk about the more i hate rihana
    • it's all about showing 'care' for both Chris & Rihanna. As it is, the heart is the most sensitive organ in our bodies-when it is touched by something or someone, as it usually goes, emotions come out of us.
  • i think that they just need to leave chris brown alone everybody make mistakes in life it the past and they should leave it like that. The more yall talk about the more i hate rihana
  • People which includes the media needs to leave this kid alone and let him grow from his mistake. How can someone learn from something if we chastise them and ostracize them. All of us are far from perfect - some crimes are worst than other but it is the lesson in growth that is enriching. We can all learn something from this because it happens in our neighborhood everyday. I wonder if all those people were put on blast for this bad behavior how many we would see who are pointing fingers coming out of the closet for such a crime, a lot of pots calling the kettle black huh.

He is already being punished enough allow him to breathe some and make room for the next phase of his life.

I have witness this crap time and time again and have intervene on the woman's behave at the expense of alienating family or friends but these individuals never get put behind bars as I would like it or just punished period for their crimes against women but we don't see them on TV and people still speak to them and support them in their neighborhoods while I have to be counselling these women on why they should not tolerate this crap. Chris Brown owned up to his crime in court and Rihanna got her justice. Now it is time for the public to leave them both alone to live.
    • It could've been worse for Chris upon being charged for assault. The judge decided to give him another chance to prove he is not a threat to society and be at peace among all.
He just has to continue to be a good role model as he did in the beginning of his career. I believe he can based on what he has accomplished. All it takes is for the fans and supporters to believe in him that he can work things out for the better.
    • At least it didn't come to death. Rihanna is still alive and well. I love both Chris & Rihanna, they're great young adults who have done well in keeping us entertained with their music. After the 5 years that Chris has to fulfill, should Rihanna & Chris still be truly in love, they need to Down-low their love for each other and just continue to focus on their love for music, until they are ready to commit to a healthy relationship.
  • LOL CHRIS BROWN LOOKED SHOOK ANSWERING QUESTIONS, HE HAD TO BRING HIS MOMMY IN TO HELP HIM SPEAK? HAHAHAHA THATS SO SAD, AND IF U PEOPLE WANT OTHER PEOPLE TO LAY OFF TELL HIM NOT TO GO ON LARRY KING SO IT MAKES EVERY1 BRING IT BACK UP AGAIN!! HE DID THIS TO HIMSELF AND DESERVES TO BE EMBARRASSED, THE KID ACTUALLY SAID HE DIDNT REMEMBER BEATING HER LOL WAT A LIL BOY, AND HE HAD HIS MOMMY WIT HIM FOR GODS SAKE
    • Whether it is his mom or any other consenting adult that will stand by him in showing their support, it's all about the love and care for him. Besides, he's only 20, he's not of legal age(21). He is at an age where he has alot to learn...the incident between Rihanna and him was proof....he wasn't ready to be in love with her, otherwise the incident wouldn't have happen.
  • Of course he didn't "black out"! What we're seeing is but a minute of an hours long interview! But how can he agree to what was said or inferred to in those "police reports", those same police reports aren't Rhianna's statements!! Rhianna's actual statement said that she was INITIATOR and AGGRESSOR in that car on Feb 8th!

So if Larry King had done his home work and asked Chris: did the events of Feb 8th happened as Rhianna said in her statements to the cops? He'd have had to say: YES, Rhianna became enraged after she read a text message on my cell phone and then slapped, punched, and hit me as I was driving!
  • NO ONES PERFECT.. EVERYONE MAKES MISTAKES
    HE;S SORRY..
  • Whatever Chris, you totally killed your career.
    • @Jaiynna >>>

Are you kidding, if anything Feb 8th helped! No one will remember any of the other young R&B singers. The first thing is recognition; maybe you'll say "sure, recognized for beating up your girlfriend", but if his music is any good, you'll be sure to hear "Yes, but he admitted his wrong and moved on!"
Wasn't Michael Jackson the pariah and even had to leave the U.S.? Didn't that same MJ recently sell out, yes SELL OUT, ALL of his London tour dates? Sure he did. But I bet you didn't know that MJ WANTED Chris Brown to go on tour with him. No, you probably didn't know.

If anything, it's Rhianna whose 15 minutes will soon be up! Sooner than later, her actual statement to the cops will come out, and in THAT statement she did say that she was INITIATOR and AGGRESSOR on Feb 8th! She as ALSO INITIATOR and AGGRESSOR on Feb 8th in Barbados and Europe!
    • I am certain that Chris still has some fans/supporters that stood by him from the beginning of his career up until now, and those are the ones who will keep him in the music business. Perhaps, you're just 1 among many....as there usually is in a crowd. It just proves that not everyone will be pleased by you and or will you be pleased by everyone.
  • I think people need to just get off of his case... especially since it seems like him & Rihanna are the only 2 people that really know what happened that night. And as some other people have said, true fans aren't going to let this one situation cause them to not be his fan anymore. I still say he didn't beat me up, so why should I be upset at him?? It seems to me that the media is just trying to drag him down just like they did Michael Vick, anytime last night on the local VA news a reporter said "Former singer Chris Brown".
    • Ever heard of ""United we stand, divided we fall?" If you haven't, read and learn about it and you'll understand why there are people who are simply showing their support for Chris thru various ways.
  • if she burnt me i would have done the same thing...just behind closed doors...being a celeb id prolly just broadcast her business to everybody so she looks dirty....or sleep wit her mom or sister and give her the same sh*t she burnt me wit lol
    • u sound so damn stupid. stfu!
    • im just being stupid lol but for real for real though that incident was one of those i walked away from...he got burnt she got beat...seemed kinda messed up on both sides so i just left it alone..i think the media need to let it go. the story is dry!
    • just something to talk about. Would you rather want to talk about the birds and the bees? I'm sure you know about that already. Since talking about sex is personal & should not be talked about with others unless given permission to. Chris & Rihanna are 2 celebs who have chosen to put themselves out there for all to see and hear. One of the consequence the celebs have to face is that the media and or others will talk about them.

  • =Kiss Cougar . Com== was where we met. She makes me believe that ” I am one person for the. world, but I am the world for her.”… ..
  • Man, this whole ordeal just needs to end for both their sakes and i guess we all know what happened that nite plus the leaked photo said it all, so him saying it isnt fair to Rihanna to go in details is a cop out. He could have said what happened without going into too much details.
