Lately there has been some resurfaced tension surrounding the original Dipset crew. Cam'ron was recently caught on camera stating that Dipset is dead and people need to get over it. However, Jim Jones recently responded to this notion by stating that "I am Dipset", implying that as long as he is alive so is the brand.
Jones stated "Whoever don't like it, holla at me. Dipset is from the projects. Nobody got me out of 5H (his former apartment) except myself."He also added "Listen to me... Juelz has the right to [say] Dipset. He has enough rights to the name like Cameron Giles."
So what is the official status of Dispet? Is the absence of Cam'ron enough to declare it a dead property or are Jim Jones and Juelz Santana enougn to carry the brand. Whatever the case, it now seems highly unlikely that the "original" Dipset will ever reunite.
