**NEW MUSIC** John Legend X The Roots 'Wake Up'

Wake Up! is the new collaboration project between GRAMMY Award-winning singer/songwriterJohn Legend and the internationally known, GRAMMY Award-winning hip-hop band The Roots. This project is inspired by old-school soul of the late 60s and 70s and will feature covers from prominent artists of that time like Marvin Gaye, Donny Hathaway and Teddy Pendergrass. The idea for this collaborative album first came in 2008.  Fans can expect to see Wake Up! in stores on September 21st.

Legend most recently received BET's Humanitarian Award for his philanthropic work in Africa and aiding to help end poverty through education.
