It’s amazing to inspire young people. Every time I see it on Facebook or Twitter “Grayson you inspire me!” it really hit me in the heart. I think that’s amazing.
Not all that much has changed for me. I’m just normal. I’ve gotten so used to going to the studio every day and stuff like that, but I still get my phone taken away and my computer taken away. We just have keep that normality during all of this. Oklahoma is totally different. But my friends treat me the same way, they’re still my friends there’s nothing really different; they’re excited for me.When I was putting my stuff up on YouTube I actually wanted to just put them on for no reason. It was just for fun. I recorded with a little handy-cam camera.

Ellen Degeneres flew me and my mom into L.A. and the next day we were on the show. My mom was extremely excited, because we always watch the Ellen show. It was just awesome, and she’s such a kind person. She comes in, and you feel like you’ve known her forever.
I’m also working with Interscope records, recording in LA and it’s going great. The album is coming along great; it’s been a really amazing process.
It’s really cool and interesting to see how a song in the studio comes from a beat into a monster record. I think that’s the best accomplishment I’ve ever had, developing a song.
