**NEW VIDEO** 'Wake Up' John Legend, Melanie Fiona

The video for 'Wake Up', the lead single to the Wake Up! project, premiered last night on MTV. The Gil Green directed video was shot in Brooklyn, NY. The video was inspired by the late seventies, the era in which the original song 'Wake Up Everybody' was recorded.

Wake Up! is the new collaboration project between GRAMMY Award-winning singer/songwriterJohn Legend and the internationally known, GRAMMY Award-winning hip-hop band The Roots. This project is inspired by old-school soul of the late 60s and 70s and will feature covers from prominent artists of that time like Marvin Gaye, Donny Hathaway and Teddy Pendergrass. The idea for this collaborative album first came in 2008.  Fans can expect to see Wake Up! in stores on September 21st.
