Taylor Swift set out to take on the haters in life for her upcoming album Speak Now. 'Mean,' has the lyrics 'Washed up and ranting about the same old bitter things/ Drunken grumblings about how I can't sing / But all you are is mean/ And a liar/ And pathetic.'

'Dear John,' is reportedly about John Mayer: 'Dear John/ I see it all now that you're gone/ Don't you think I was too young/ To be messed with/ The girl in the dress/ Cried the whole way home/ I should've known/It was wrong/ Don't you think nineteen's too young/ To be played/ By your dark, twisted games'

Camilla Belle was her alleged target for the track 'Better than Revenge.' The tack talks about a girl who stole an ex-boyfriend.

In RETALIATION we are posting seven songs that are about other people - in a positive light.
