im so sorry to hear about the loss of this young man. i can not believe people of any age could do this. the 3 men who have been caught deserve to go to jail for countless years regardless how old they are. if you are able to do this to someone them you are able to do the time they give you. i read someone said they shouldnt be punished by going to jail, but what if this was your son how would you feel? you would want the same thing to happen to them if they did this to your son. i live in minnesota not to far from chicago and alot of people from chicago moved here i just dont want to see that happen here or anywhere. my condolense goes out to darrions whole family and ill keep yall in my thoughts n prayers!!! To the mother, you have lost a son... nothing can replace him, nor will the pain of what your child suffered his last moment here on earth ever leave you. Just know that he is in a better place, and he leaves an AWESOME legacy (honor student) even at the tender age of 16 years old. To his little sister, you can still talk to him because he'll always be with you. He will never stop being your big brother. (Smile)
To those that delivered the suffering and pain upon this family, may God have mercy on your soul! Why are my black sons and daughters dying so young! Why are we so full of hate and violence? I don't know what ANY of the people who participated in such a heinous act think will come to them.... just know that it's nothing nice.

i feel really bad for his mother and family..all my condolenses goes out to her smh idk or understand why exactly this situation happened..but it did and it's the saddest thing i've ever heard or seen in my life...GOD BLESS YOU MS. I live in KC it make me very sad that this has happen. I can't stop the tears right now. But I feel yes some parents has fail their children, but what about those that really try. Kids these day don't respect anyone or anything they just do as the want. I'm a single mother I was once ask if I wanted my son to respect me are fear me? My answer( I want him to fear me because respect is automatic I want him to fear what I will do to him so that might make him think of the choices he make. When I was little black people love each other. Now No LOve all we do is hurt each other. My nephew was murder in June 09 by what they called his friend, He held a gun up and pull the trigger and shot him in the head he was only 15 year old and I watch my nephew died after 2 weeks of life support. Tell me want kind of friend aims a gun at your head. These kids out here do what they want. They don't respect anyone. I saw this when my son was only 4 year old I feared then what the world would be like when he got to be 18-25 year old. It's so bad out here. I'm lucky because my son was shot just walking to his car THANK GOD HE WAS OK. my heart hurt so much because you never know who next.

I feel real bad for what happened to this young man. It really hurts and I dont know him. Im pretty sure the people that hit him with the board didnt mean to kill him. i do believe they should step up to the plate and admit what they did but at the same time I dont think they should be punished harshly because they all where fighting. I grew up in the Rochester City School District, which is a black majority district and I saw fights all the time. Even to the point where the basketball games in the whole district had to be canceled until they fount a way to make them safer. When people fight they do things they didnt expect to do. One life has already been taken and their dont need to be more. The kids that hit him still have lives in front of them too. I think they should get punished for what they did but it should be to an extent. I would hate to see a 13, 14, 15 year old in prison for countless years.
