Man gets pitchfork thrown through face

<p>&nbsp;</p><p>A man in China barely escaped death after a farmer&rsquo;s pitchfork was hurled through his car and impaled his face in a bizarre accident.</p><p>Kong Xie was sitting in his car while outside a farmer&rsquo;s market when a farmer, aiming for hay bales, hurled his pitchfork that mistakenly went through his windshield, reports the Austrian Times. Incredibly, the fork had missed Xie&rsquo;s brain by fractions of an inch. Pinned to his seat by the fork, firemen were called to free him from the vehicle.</p><p>&ldquo;I felt a searing pain on the side of my head and then when I tried to move it I couldn&rsquo;t because it had pierced my head,&rdquo; Xie told reporters. &ldquo;I couldn&rsquo;t look to see how bad it was but when people came to the window and started screaming I realised it was bad &ndash; and I could feel the blood.&rdquo;</p><p>Xie is expected to make a full recovery, and police say the pitchfork thrower will face charges for endangering public safety.</p>
