Do Not Be Ashamed...Your Life Depends On It.

I AM CIARA.  YESTERDAY WAS WORLD AIDS DAY. HIV/AIDS IS THE #1 KILLER OF AFRICAN AMERICAN AND LATINA WOMEN IN MY AGE GROUP.  PLEASE GET TESTED, YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT

I am so blessed to have the opportunity to use my voice today to help spread the message about this terrible disease that is still killing so many young people, especially women.  Let's not pretend this could not happen to you because it can.  What are you doing to protect yourself?   Even if you think you are in love, you should still protect yourself until both you and your partner get tested and have proof.   Do not be ashamed to have this conversation with someone you are thinking about being intimate with.  If they truly love you and love themselves, then they will agree on how important it is to not risk their life or yours. This is a reality.  We are all at risk but we can take action to protect ourselves.  Don't put off until tomorrow, what you can and should do today.   Get Tested.
