Today we lost another young, talented, black man. Like so many men and women in this world, Chris Henry had seen his share of trouble and adversity...and just like so many other men and women in this world, he realized it’s never too late to turn your life around. How many more lives need to be lost before we realize that as good Christians (as many of us like to call ourselves), spiritual beings or just plain old good folks we need to STOP THE JUDGEMENT and try to lift each other up when we've fallen off the path.

Why are we all so quick to stop looking in the mirror at our own troubled lives...bad credit, lack of education or job skills, poor choices with the opposite sex, trying to live like Diddy when our homes are getting foreclosed, gossiping, jealous ranting or hating, or even not communicating with loved ones...its soooooo much easier to be obsessed with Tiger and Elin than dealing with our own troubled relationships...why get counseling for your daddy/mama/brother sister/relationship issues when we can hunt down a distraught woman and her 2 young children like animals??!! Why worry about how to pay for healthcare when we can laugh and joke about Lindsey Lohan. Journalists COULD do their jobs and sift through fact from what's in the National Inquirer but why when it’s sooooooo much easier to print lies/half truths or straight up fairy tales to sell newspapers or magazines...forget about journalistic integrity when you’ve got to compete with the internet...who needs truth and compassion when we can't wait for the next senseless tragedy or starlet scandal??!!

When will we come together and demand more from ourselves...more love and less hate...more fact finding than dirt digging...more lifting each other up and figuring out a way for life to improve than kicking people when they're down...hold yourself to the same high standards we set for people on TV that we'll never meet and don't put food on our tables...be the person you always wanted to be...I'd like to think we were all born inherently good and on occasion make mistakes...stop looking in your neighbor's backyard or Tigers’ or the girl who got the guy you liked or the dude who got the promotion you thought you deserved...we can only control ourselves...KEEP LOOKING IN THE MIRROR...that's where the answers are that can truly change your life. In fact, lemme get off this damn blackberry and help my niece figure out how we're gonna pay for college next year...tiger can't help me with that...that's all me :) peace and love and many blessings!!!

Both you and your lawyers might want to follow up on a comment made by a right wing radio talk show host today 1/22/10. He refered to you with a slang word not used by good people. This guy needs to be put in his place. He said what he said on the right wing station here in Atlanta at 12:22 p.m. He was commenting on yor comment regarding health care. He needs to be taken down with the law. Could be slander

Ok I am not here to judge or point a finger but when are we as a black people will learn to come together seriously when will we stop and just look around us? And I really don't give a damn about what someone has to say about me in a comment after losing my oldest son last may of 09 and my mom of 07 I have decided to do something positive with myself back to college. But for black people we always put each other down even when we don't know the person we are quick to point the finger at someone. We have to stick together and get it together cause we are losing our own very fast. Educate your children and stop making excuses change is good for everyone and if you are not willing to make that change then that sounds like your own personal problem. We must give back you give your money to the damn arabs on the corner stores but you cannot give back to your own people wow! Gabby Girl I love when you write seriously it makes sense and if we all looked in the mirror at ourselves the world would be a better place. Hell look who's the president and I know he stayed in the mirror shitt he is our black president people wake up and smell the coffee seriously. Everyday someone is cheating, stealing, lying, or doing something they have no business doing. You don't get it do you? The world we live in is just a big game that we play and it keeps going and going and going Until we decide to change it. We voted Obama in change!!!! So change your life if he can do it so can we. I was browsing through the internet Gabrielle and seeing you on youtube-must have been a couple a years ago-on how to make it in Hollywood. You're just one beautiful Nubian Princess! And what caught my attention was that you stay in prayer. I don't care what the critics say, if anyone can ask GOD for forgiveness, He will forgive. There will always be haters in this world. It is what it is. At 47 I realize that the man in the mirror is the one I have to face every morning till evening-and the next. Thanks for them strong words. Yes we lost another talented black man.

But living here in the city (N.Y.)...we lose them every day. You just don't hear about them. Also we have all of this wasted talent in the penile system. Gabby-if you were to take inventory of how many young black and latino women telling you that there baby daddy is incarcerated, gangbanging, selling drugs, or buried 6 feet under-you would cry. It's sad. But it is through the Grace of GOD that there's HOPE. Hope that buids up and strengthens.

I'm looking forward to seeing your next film...but I'm praying that some point in your life, the role you take will make a strong statement to all of them young women who are trying to make it without a dad around..

I think is amazing what some of you ppl got out of what she said...I refuse to talk sh*t about what has been said because I will lose the meaning of her message by looking some where oher than myself...this message is powerful because we are so afraid to look at who we are that we've missed who we've become...we're tryiny so hard to focus on others mess so our mess doesn't stick so much but wake up your mess wouldn't stink at all if u tried cleaning it up.

Just because married men cheat does not mean single women should condone this behavior. I like when married men cheat and leave thei wives because in the end they are never happy and usually cheat with women who are on the low moral and value system as them, so they both end up looking at a reflection of themselves. Brilliant!

Mirror Mirror on the WALL who is the Most Hypocritical woman of all? ...while you are looking in the mirror do you see a woman who broke up the union of two people who God brought together...hypocritical woman.. What goes around comes around...keep looking in the mirror and what do you see?...a woman who went through lots of men but settled on one who was married and just had a baby... How do YOU look in the mirror? Perhaps your mirror is flawed. Or perhaps you don't look into the mirror at all, because if I were you I couldn't bear to see that hypocritical reflection staring back at me.
