The main problem with the American healthcare system imho, is that we do not offer proper primary and preventative care. For surgery, and serious operations there are few countries that I would rather be than here in the USA, but for smaller things (joint pains, allergies, infections etc) there are much better and more cost effective methods that we are not employing.

The system is also overwhelmed, and we are not producing enough doctors and nurses for the needs of the American People.

Our system certainly needs an overhaul, but blindly rallying against the insurance companies won't solve anything. A re-evaluation of our system as a whole and more emphasis in training the next generation of healers in America is the conversation I'd like to be having.

First of all im going to go out on a Limb and say you have no idea what the truth behind this is. You can look at it from two sides, 2 years ago A hospital in Cincinati was sued for doing unnecessary procedures and charging families 1.5 to 2 times as much as they were supposed to. Now you can sit there and say the insurance companiesfizzled but they were the ones who caught it. Insurance company is A business, We pay for insurance because nine out of ten times the average person cannot afford the care that they want. This cartoon makes it look like the insurer is a dizzle but in actuality the insurer is the only reason why that person is having surgery. The other thing people forget is that being a doctor, as much good as the do, is a business as well. The next time you go to school for 12 years after highschool, then you can make your comments about what you think about insurance and Doctors.
