Football players, alcohol, strippers and money is a bad combination. If you don’t know by now, Tennessee Titans quarterback, Vince Young, was caught up in an altercation at a strip called Club Onyx in Dallas, Texas. He got into a fight with the club owner and it seems as though ya boy Young got offended when the owner disrespected his beloved Texas Longhorns, Young’s, alma mater.
I am convinced that football players take too many hits to the head. Did Vince not learn anything from Adam “Pacman” Jones and Plaxico Burress? Vince is no stranger to the club scene. He has been photographed numerous times in clubs with his shirt off having a good time. When will NFL player’s understand that they bring this on themselves? It’s a shame because after last season Vince Young won back the Tennessee Titans fans by bringing the team back from a win-less season.

This situation could have turned deadly. In 2007, Broncos corner-back Darrent Williams was killed in a drive-by shooting after an argument at a nightclub. Williams's limousine was sprayed with bullets in downtown Denver. NFL athletes need to think about their careers and lives when they are in confrontational situations. It’s always better to walk away and not be baited into something you might later regret.

Young was issued a Class C assault citation today, which carries up to a $500 fine. Vince can pay that off no problem, but NFL commissioner Roger Goodell doesn’t play when it comes to altercations in night clubs. Remember Plaxico Burress and Adam “Pacman” Jones?
