Ke$ha Joins The 'It Gets Better' Campaign (VIDEO)

Posted October 7, 2010 by admin for Global Grind Staff

Another artist has stepped out of the booth and onto the “It Gets Better” movement, a campaign created in reaction to the recent incidences of suicide among gay youth. Stripped of all her crazy make-up and outfits, “Tik-Tok” singer Ke$ha sat in a black T-shirt to send her message saying, “..however you are choosing to live is beautiful.” The nationwide campaign was created by columnist and author Dan Savage, in lieu of 18-year-old Rutgers University Student Tyler Clementi, who jumped off the George Washington Bridge after fellow students posted a video online of Clementi being intimate with another man. Seeming to hold back tears, the usual outlandish Ke$ha solemnly (and almost nervously) sent out the minute-long message- hoping it will effect viewers for much longer than that.
