Augn San Suu Kyi Finally Freed after 7 Years of House Arrest

Former General Secretary of the National League of Democracy, Nobel Peace Prize winner of 1991, and political activist Aung San Suu Kyi has been released from 7 years of house arrest in Burma for her opposition to the authoritarian rule.  

Even after more than a decade of house arrest Suu Kyi is determined to continue to work to restore democracy and improve human rights in the country.
