Forest Whitaker & 50 Cent negotiate to make a the modern day adaptation of the 1886 novel The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.
Whitaker says “We’re still figuring out what we’re going to do, if I am going to be doing that or not. If I end up doing it, I would be playing Jekyll and he <50> would be playing Hyde.”
“It’s a father-son kind of relationship. It’s also an interesting script because we are dealing with similar things.
Jekyll has a lot of issues and problems personally. Hidden passions, hidden perversions - and it is acted out by 50.”
Jekyll and Hyde will closely follow the original storyline – written by Robert Louis Stevenson – which focuses on troubled Dr. Jekyll’s battle with right and wrong.
