R&B star Chris Brown vowed he'll never again cause the pain he inflicted on pop star Rihanna and that seeing her image after the beating shocked him.
Brown talked about the assault on Rihanna in an interview with Angie Martinez on New York hip-hop station Hot 97 Thursday.
Brown said, though learning in his domestic violence courses, he is "certain (this will never happen again). I've seen the pain people have been through and I don't want to inflict that anymore."
Brown, who begins a "fan appreciation" tour Nov. 14, said he was hoping for forgiveness from his fan base in the wake of the career-impacting incident.
"At the end of the day, I'm human," he said. "Of course you're Rihanna and Chris Brown in Decenber 2008. (AP photo)gonna have your thoughts and opinions. I'm not gonna say they're wrong. But at the end of the day, it's not right to judge someone. People make mistakes all the time."
