Rumors were buzzing earlier this year of Solange leaving Interscope/Geffen Records but Matthew Knowles and Solange shot down those rumors quickly. It appears BV Buzz, has confirmed what was thought to be a rumor is actually fact.
Apparently, solange is no longer with Interscope/Geffen Records and has not been with them since 30 days after BV Buzz originally broke the story in April 2009.

Heres the statement from Music World:
“Solange felt it necessary to go with a smaller, independent label that focuses more on the alternative genre, one that reflects her music style and artistry. Solange is working on a new album and the label will be announced shortly. The relationship with Interscope is excellent and the current album, ‘Sol-Angel and the Hadley Street Dreams’ is still being worked through the Music World/ Interscope joint venture with consistent weekly sales.”
And in other news, Solange has been nominated as Best New Artist for Soul Train Award.
I hope everything works out for Solo and congrats on the Soul Train Award nomination.
