Even though the Falcons kept the game close last night, you just knew that the Saints would pull off the win. It was clear the Saints offense would find a way to slice through the defense. Coach Payton’s unpredictable gameplan is like that of a world champion poker player.
Payton has put together an offense that has way too many safety valves to ever stop. Drew Brees tends to scramble forward into the pocket, not outside as most QBs do, which makes the defensive ends often useless. The WR’s run sharp routes, and hey, did you notice Reggie Bush actually running through defenders last night?
On top of it all, Coach Payton plays THE GAME TO WIN, not to “prevent” the loss. He takes chances down the field, and NEVER LETS UP on the accelerator as most teams do. You can’t stop this offense.
