  • All of this is to confusing. We got two successful black men going hard at another successful black man. The time Beani spending on putting his long time brother, friend and business partner on blast he could be makeing money. Beani is not focused on whats really going on. TOO MUCH RUNNING OFF AT THE MOUTH SIEGAL!!! STOP IT AND GET MONEY!! 50 CENT on the other hand is successful but going at it the wrong way. Im not speaking to knock his hustle but while he blasting on everybody his records not selling right now.. Beanie to frustrated to realize that 50 usieng his beef to get his albums sold or to get atention. How beanie gone entertain a man (50 cent) with old problems from out his caamp when 50 got problems in his. If i could remeber 50 got dudes who he grew up with thats salty cause when one of em got locked up he was'nt looking out eeither. So beanie need to take the good with bad and move on but i can tell my brother hurt. You grown and it's to much to be made out there at the end of the day so lets get it. MONEY IS THE ROOT TO ALL EVIL AND THEY TO BLIND TO SEE IT.
    • Beanie can't battle the boss at the end of the level if he can't take his henchmen at the gates.

This how I regulate, with dry, written commentary because I lack the time and the inclination to compose verses and record them for my criticism.

Beanie needs to clean up his act. Everyone is aware he just got out of prison, but look how Shyne came out as an observant man, not like Yosemite Sam.

Beanie's reference to Charlie Manson was just tasteless.

Roman Polanksi is still alive and his wife, Sharon Tate was murdered while she was pregnant by Charlie Manson's "creepy crawlers".

Charlie Manson is a miserable wretch, beneath contempt. Roman Polanski should be given the opportunity to personally execute Charlie Manson if he ends up sentenced to prison for statutory rape.

Kliebold and Harris are not amusing. Their victims families are still alive and nobody is amused by glorification of these killers. What's next, jokes about the Virginia Tech shooter, or Anthony Sowell?

I understand what Beanie and The Game were trying to do. They were trying to bring back a renaissance of a violent era of rap music from before the intervention by conscious hiphop artists. We all miss the authentic stress and intimidation of that era but we can't go backwards.

    • Continued:

Even some senseless acts of violence would not bring it back the way it was. It might have had something to do with the fact that violent rap music was part of a generational awakening to the power of violence, which has now passed.

Now angst-ridden young men, even men over thirty who never attained the level of status they felt entitled to are saying the best hiphop artists are now too old, a cornball or whatever.

What, people expect this genre to be ceded to a bunch of twerps as their inheritance so they can start talking sh*t, shooting each other, and making fun of the first generation of hiphop artists as a bunch of irrelevant old softies? Yeah right!

Beanie Sigel is not next in line at the money trough. Next would be the intelligent artists who helped society, even while their content was less fun than the irresponsible ones.

Beanie can get in line for his Bentley only after KRS1 (aka the Jack of Spades) has finally been paid, not to mention Tribe called Quest, De la Soul, and others.

They're due for a hiphop renaissance and Beanie can just give a mea culpa for being so far out of tune, his last couple releases were essentially an outburst of flatulence.
    • This is going to be very annoying for some people to see, and I hate to lecture but Beanie and The Game need to listen to Gil Scott Heron's "Message to the Messengers".

If you want to have your violence to keep things crispy, it probably needs to be formalized at this point. Gang violence generally lacks control.

The alternative is that people can call each other out for a duel, and they can shoot each other down like a western standoff at high noon, or a couple of old aristocrats with pistols or swords.

Either that, or settle for metaphorical, metaphysical violence. Psychologically attack, but don't try to convince people that you're really homicidal when you're just broke.
    • Final word - get behind a cause that matters. End the drug war. If you claim to be a "Cocaine Cowboy", then do your job and you won't be sweating your lack of money.

DMX is still a "rock star" because he never allowed himself to be scolded out of his crack smoking habit by preachers, conscious hiphop artists, commentators and cops.

Kudos to DMX for keeping it crispy, even a little bit scary without acting like a clown.

Beanie needs to crumble a rock on a blunt or snort a rail this Thanksgiving. Help us separate the problem of gun violence from recreational drug consumption so we can all enjoy legal personal stashes and even the working class can afford to party like a rock star.

    • Also, regarding serial killers, cult-leading serial killers, mass-suicide inducing cult leaders, and martyred cult leaders, here's my take on it.

Jim Jones, the Harlem Rapper is cool. His name is taken from the leader of the People's Temple. Jim Jones was a sick SOB, but he wasn't a sadistic murdering anti-semite with a swastika on his forehead who tried to incite an apocalyptic race war like Charlie Manson.

This is why I like Jim Jones the Rapper, but I've never had the patience to listen to Marilyn Manson, whose name is presumably an homage to Charlie Manson.

David Koresh was a character. He wasn't all bad. He was less terrible than Jim Jones, because his people got wasted in an actual siege, not merely a CIA psyop causing profoud paranoia resulting in mass suicide as happened to Jim Jone's cult.

Also, Snoop Dogg's latest violence is not his best work, but it's what I'd call metaphorical violence or "meta-violence". He's portraying a Hollywood set in which he is an actor doing the violence for aesthetic purposes and as a metaphor.

It's a bit ugly like a scene from a Tarantino movie but Snoop is not trying to "keep it real". His new single is good and he is of course, above reproach by his critics.
