On November 4th, 2009, The New York Yankees won their 27th championship against the Phillies. The last time the Yankees were in the World Series was 2004, but their last win was in 2000 against the Mets (Subway Series). That series was so intense, I cut school in freshman year and attended the parade!
Thankfully, the parade took place on the Canyon Of Heroes (which passes in front of my building) so all I had to do was step outside and I was in the madness that is the Yankee parade. It was great to see NY united for a good thing. I couldn't resist taking pictures, so here they are for all to enjoy:
