First I like pulling up old music on Youtube. I think it is incredible to be able to pull up music I have heard all of my life but never got to experience or even remember “seeing” like we can now a days. So I found this on YouTube:
When I was listening to it little Grannia came over and climbed up in my lap and as she is apt to do she watched it, and wanted to watch it again. She quickly picked up the “doo diddy”. So she sang with me and Manfred. There is nothing as adorable as a little person you love learning to talk and sing. So I then had a video of Grannia and I singing to this same video.
I tried for about FOUR hours to post it here so you could see it. Alas, after much ado and cussing, I have to admit I can not get it posted here. David tried to assist and still no success. For my friends, you can check out Grannia’s video on my facebook page. To anyone else, my apologies.
The point of all of this was sharing. My parents shared alot of music with us. I can hear “Hot Air Balloon” and “Hang Down Your Head Tom Dooley” clearly in my head whenever I need it. They are permanently posted there. My brothers and sisters and I have always listened to and likely fought over which songs, or genre, to play while growing up. No matter what else was going on in the world, there was always music. And a very eclectic sampling through out my life.
