November 4, 2008Obama wins the presidencyVirginia goes for Obama with 93% of the votes countedThe west coast states are closeingCnn declares Obama the winnerThis is a historic moment we are half way to electing our first African American president and all over the world people of all races are celebrating history. As of 10:15 pm a third of all votes have been counted. We are half way there, half way to history. I can't wait for the breakdown of the voting. America is now a different country. A different place. As Eugene Robinson wrote in an article I grinded earlier today. There is a new American pride. Today is a day you would have to look back and ask yourself where were you when America elected the first Black President. Where were you at on election day. Can you tell your grand kids that you waited on line for 4 hours in the rain or in the cold? What will your story be? You're sharing this moment with million of other. Million of others who are reading globalgrind and watching CNN, MSNBC. It has never been like this before in history and although it's not over yet, we are almost there.
