Stop Discrimination In America: Proposition 8 Violates The Civil Rights Of All.

  • As someone who has proud gay sibling, i think its bullsh*t that California and the Mormon Church has shot down gay marriage. Havent we all realized that were are all the same and deserve the same rights. Shame on California, Florida and Arkansas. I say LGBT's go to Connecticut and get married there.
  • I guess everyone is still ignoring the fact the large Obama support in California is what defeated the gay marriage.

Why is the govt involved at all with marriages? If the definition of marriage is going to change, why not let it all go through? A man and a woman bound by contract is a marriage. If that one man, one woman no longer applies and is a sign of discrimination, then lets stop all discrimination of unions. Poly-amorous marriages have been sh*t on longer than gay marriages.

Have some compassion towards all choices in life!
    • Fair is fair, you're right about that one!! It really boils down to an issue of the seperation between church and state!! Religious beliefs should not be the deciding factor with most laws that are in affect!! Also religious groups shouldn't get special treatment from the government either!! What you believe in and who you pray to, is a choice not the law, which shouldn't be imposed on people who are non-believers!!
  • I agree the "discrimination" of any sort is wrong. I have a gay Son who is engaged but cannot marry. As a Catholic I am torn between "church" and my heart. He is my Son and I want what is best for him. I have always supported him 100% because I know that God does not make mistakes. People act like giving GLBT's the right to marry is changing the sanctity of marriage when it isn't. It is just allowing two people who truly love one another the same rights to be joined together in a legal union as everyone else. Everyone has the right to be happy and love and marry. Obama being elected President was a sign of change and Prop 8 being voted down was a step backwards. I say fight it in the Supreme Court if that is what it takes. It is discrimination. I want my Son to be married just like my husband and I were married over 20 years ago and afforded every opportunity every other married couple are offered. I'm proud of Russell Simmons.
  • Let God be the judge and the Bible be your guide :)
