The word came down yesterday that the Volkswagen hybrid Golf concept that debuted in Geneva wouldn't make the transition to production.

    Some of the automotive engineering geeks who posted comments on that site seem to have had some pretty interesting things to say on the matter - but it all went over my head. All I know about cars is how to drive them. Fortunately in my state I'm not even allowed to pump my own gas.
