The Reverend Al Sharpton delivered a live radio address Saturday morning at his National Action Network headquarters in Harlem, to call for action following the full acquittals of the three detectives in the Sean Bell shooting.
Following Sharpton's rally, another group about 250 protesters marched through East Harlem between 125th Street to 145th. "This is the first of many other civil disobediences that our organization, along with National Action and many others around the country, will come into the city until justice prevails," said Chairman Salaam Ismial of the National United Youth Council. "Young men have been dying at the hands of police officers too long in New York City."
