My gut tells me I don't want young boys to play girls basketball. I don't think it is in the best interest of the sport.

But that is where I am torn. How can I want sexual segregation one way AND support a girl playing boys basketball without being sexists?

i'm sure her teammmates are happy, it's the other teams that are upset...can't her parents find her a good girl's team to play on...or a high school girl's team?
guess that would be against the rules, too, huh? there are plenty of better girls teams in other areas of the country. if the girl is that good, they could move. people do it for sports (gymnastics, ice-skating, etc.) all the time. cute girl, though, if her skills are that good with competition, she'll be a big star.

theres noooooo way she'll make the nba, it's jus a totally different skill level which she obviously dusnt hav..she cud make the wnba maybe one day b/c shes reallly gud

She was obviously wiping the floor with them boys, embarrassing them and their parents. She needs to move on and play in a league where she can be challenged and grow as a player.

I think it's different when the age is that young. Once you get into high school ball then the genders should be seperated, but before that I think that kids should have the choice if they want to play in a co-ed league or not.

Man, I'm torn on this. If you let a girl play guys basketball because of her skill, must you then allow a guy to play girls basketball because of his skill?

What does everyone else think?
