Rick Ross is a entertainer, and what is a entertainers job? To entertain!! His gimmick is that he was a drug lord/drug dealer/gangster before he came into the rap game.. Drugs are a funny thing, because they are a crutch for the user and the dealer.. Wouldn't going out and making 10 g's in a day with the chance of being caught, or the chance of enjoying the money excite some people? It's like gambling, but with your freedom.. It's like your life is one big roller coaster ride, one big adrenaline rush.. Its hard for most to just walk away from that.. The life of an artist is not the same.. A drug lord would make 10x what Ross makes, why would he leave that?? I personally never buy into his or any other artists gimmicks.. Ross is good at what he does, and i like his music.. But most Music is just entertainment.. Rick Ross is just a good Entertainer, nothing more nothing less..

I agree with the blogger. I can realize entertainmet when I hear it. But when the entertainer lies.... well thats when it gets sticky. All he had to do was admit to his past. I mean every jail system has crooked C.Os. He could have played it off like he was one of them. Act like thats where he got his good good connects. I knew he was full of shizzle when he said his "1st million made him stupid" & something about 20 maybacks in his driveway or something like that. But I did like his album. It sounded pretty good when I was listening. I mean come on, how many homosexual men ot there sing the best love songs to women... (Freddy Jackson... Luther Vandross the great...exc). The great Nas said it along time ago when he was 1ce in question...... how a real drug dealer gonna be able to make records & not get caught. You have to have a level of intelegence to be a good ENTERTAINER. Be a story teller, be able to relate stories of those arpund them and turn it into good music. The singers sing the stories the song writers write for them & hip hop is no different. Especia;;y now when hip hop is soooooooooo comericalized. PEOPLE>>> it is hot to be a king pin drug boss right now. Ricky is just giving the people want they want to hear. But he shouldn't have lied..... if he's lying
