Darnellc, you have to look at it like this. If a bank screws up something with your account and the person who screwed up gets fired, it doesn't fix the fact that your account is messed up. Even though that person isn't there anymore, you're still going to hold the bank responsible for fixing your account. In this case, it wasn't just a few slave owners here and there who kept slavery going, this was United States law. So even though the people who did the physical enslaving aren't here anymore, the institution (U.S.) who made it law is still to be held accountable for what it did no matter how long ago it was.

Ok, the people that had nothing todo with slavery apologized. What does that mean for me today. Tomorrow can I go to the same cafe in downtown, Long Beach, CA where this white dude insulted me infront of my wife and her friend, because of some feelings he had about black people, and sit and eat a meal in peace without any staring at me like I dont belong there. No, if I were to go in that same cafe tomorrow it would be the same. That apology don't mean nothing. And I cant believe people are still talking about slavery. And people are using it as an excuse as to why they dont have nothing, and why they're making those stupid life decisions that get them nowhere.

They can keep that wack apology cause it dont mean nothing to me. Talk to me when they can trace my roots back to Africa and not some slave owners livestock inventory form.

There are bullies everywhere. Black people have hurt me directly more than white people ever have.

And I know Im not the only one.
