As horrified passengers looked on, a man riding on a Greyhound bus in Canada stabbed a fellow passenger repeatedly then beheaded him with a large hunting knife, the Canadian Press and the Associated Press report.
Initial reports suggest that the man had been drinking maple syrup for many hours making him extremely hyper and agitated. The situation escalated when he noticed the sleeping gentleman next to him (the victim) was wearing a Toronto Maple Leaves jersey. Witnesses say that after yelling something in garbled French about his own team (the Montreal Canadiens) he proceeded to violently stab the sleeping victim repeatedly.
While police do expect Toronto's fans to retaliate, most members of Montreal's executive staff are quite pleased with the incident citing previous seasons' excellent records when pre-season blood sacrifices were made.
