One of the top small forwards in the class of 2009, Jamil Wilson, gave a verbal commitment to the University of Oregon on Sunday at a press conference. The Racine, Wisconsin native had cut his recruitment list down to Oregon, Texas, and Marquette after also considering Michigan State. At 6-7, 215lbs, Wilson can handle the ball and slash through defenders with ease. He had picked March 8th as his decision date since back on February 9th. The William Horlick HS senior will now join fellow 2009 Oregon commits E.J. Singler, a 6-6 small forward from South Medford HS (OR), and Jeremy Jacob, a 6-7 small forward from Chipola Community College (FL). Singler and Jacob, a Baton Rouge, Louisiana native, have both signed letter of intents. Wilson becomes the highest ranked Oregon recruit of the 2009 class.
