I have been spending "special time" with Russell for about 4 months and in that time I have learned some subtle things about some in the black community that have surprised me. I must say that while it has been a bit of a challenge for me, it has also been a wonderful learning experience. I realize that in this day of Obama and change that there is still a tremendous amount of poverty, suffering and pain in the black community, and for that I am deeply sorry. But, I have to say the angry responses to those realities are sometimes misdirected....Just for the record, I am nobody’s white b*tch, gold digger or fame chaser. Nor am I any of the other mean things I have been called lately. I don't need anything from anybody, I come from a good family and I'm a young independent "successful" model making my way in NYC. Finally, I just wanna say that Russell has been a great "special" friend and I'm sure as sh*t not giving him up cause some in America object to our friendship. I wanna close by saying, what Russell always says, Namaste. (That means the goddess in me recognizes the goddess in you)....Or, b*tch get your own man.

I am such a fan, and am I very inspired by the great

Mr. Russell Simmons. I would argue every time my dad disagreed with the company I kept. He would always say, "tell me who you hang with, and I will tell you who you are". Thank you Ms. Julie for helping me to prove my dad wrong. When you feel "sorry" for someone as you stated you felt for us Black people in our

po' communities, you pity us. Are we pitiful to you Julie? When you show someone strength and encouragement and postively push them to be great as Ambassador Simmons does on a daily basis, it is not because you feel "sorry" for them , but because you know that they can and will achieve greatness with the help of inspiration and example. You don't feel sorry for them because you know that they can achieve greatness you don't do it because you feel sorry for them, instead you should direct your sorrow towards the oppressors. "Sorry" is what you feel for someone who can not help themselves. I will not judge you for your choice of words, maybe you just had a lack of a better term.

This little girl is super stupid. I as a black woman, do not need some white girl feeling sorry for me and apologizing for poverty. Please know that I do have more education than you. Us black folks are not all down and out. I do not need anyone's pity party, not even if it is some little white chick, who is dating Russell Simmons. Does she really think we care that she is dating Russell. If I decide to date a white man, that would be my business. We all know that she wants his money. She is supposedly this "successful" model. I have never ever heard of her. What happened to the little black girl? What is this about these two little girls fighting over Russell? Is this true? Julie, whoever you are, you do not have to explain or apologize to the black community. It is Russel who should be ashamed of himself.

- You know, even if it was jealousy, how does having this mind set make her or you any better. Yeah some black people get out of hand with the whole "White women taking our men" thing. But if you are gonna call that ignorance, let's talk about all of thse lazy ass white girls who go and complain to their daddy's about the black and/or hispanic women taking their jobs? Black people aren't the only racist and I promise that it's not because they think you are beautiful. It's because we can smell that uppity attitude radiating off of you a mile away. It's because we saw the nasty look you gave us when you rode into our neighborhood in that unecessarily expensive car. It's because we remember how, before Russell had money, women of your color clutched your purse and cowered away from him and his friends just because of their skin color. But now that he has money your purse is open and you're scooting as close to them as you can. So go ahead girl, suck that gold right on up. - wow!!, this has nothing to do with jealousy at all..obviously this girl is troubled some what because she talking about something she has no clue about and basically making a complete fool of herself..i'm white and i can definitely say this is so stupid..she had no right on speaking upon this..and this is not ignorance its just people speaking there mind upon the situation..u bella are truly ignorant

Yeah, Black people kill me. Here you go, ready to splatter insults to a white person when they say I understand issues in the black community. Someone doesn't have to live it to understand it, it may have impacted someone in their own way. So what! if she learns from an in depth point while being with Russell. So what!It's never too late to learn.

Last point.... Maybe, as a race, you bloggers should take more action to help out your community more positively with your voice than to use it to sling slurs of racism. Use your voice as a motivational tool, not a disstructive one.
