We are having a hard time trying to understand what the ills of the black community (proverty & struggles as she stated) has to do with the ridicule she is getting regarding her relationship, and why she couldn't address her issues with the person she has a problem with. We are suggesting that she NOT make a blind, sweeping generalization of the black community.



Also, to recegnize that the proverty and struggle of the "black community" is coupled with a higher percentage of proverty and struggle in her OWN community. Don't single out the black community as a scapegoat for how you are treated in regards to your relationship. Most black women didn't even know her name or that she was dating grandfather time.

I think the reason why people are getting upset is because she tried to pick a fight where there really wasn't one....and with a horribly written manifesto at that.

Honestly She comes off as a self-entitled naive jump-off in this blog. If she wanted respect she really should have sat down and wrote a comprehensive essay about her frustrations instead of stringing trite ideas together.

The scary thing about this blog is that it looks like she really tried...she tries to sound diplomatic by mentioning obama, she tries to sound worldly by acknowledging the struggles of the African American community, and she tries to sound deep by quoting an ancient Hindu saying. A professional black woman dating a succesfull black/white man would of never wasted her time to respond to any comments about this situation. Black women have been getting attacked by words for years, but unlike you they bursh it off and keep their swag.
