Judging by your post, you are a firm believer of the propaganda against Muslims and their struggle against tirants subsidised by the US.

There will never be peace, unless you start treating people the way you want to be treeted.
The reason why these people want to kill you, is because your army has dropped bombs on their family members and killed them. Hell, I would shoot you in a split second for even hurting my friends, let along my kids.

It's easy to blame all your mistakes on defendless humanbeeings, bu the whole world was against your dirty war, and now that we all know that it's beeing a war based on lies, people hate the war even more.

The fact that you got taked into joining the army (maybe that's all you had comming for yourself) is your own problem. YOU WILL GO IN HISTORY AS A KILLER OF INNOCENT KIDS!!! DEAL WITH IT.

I am a Veteran of the Iraq war. We as americans can give speaches and do conferences as much as we want. We need to see things as real as they are. The Radical Muslims of Iraq and Afghanistan could care less what our President has to say. They are in a movement right now called the Jihad. They are going to do what it takes to kill and mon muslim human being. Its that simple. I saw first hand the amount of care these men have for a human life, which is none. Not even a little bit. The sad part is we are fighting this same battle on our own streets here in america with racism. You can get people to stand up and fight for whats right in the right way but you are always going to have your groups against it. Everyone wants to pull our troops out of Iraq and Afghanistan. I say what for? So they can concentrate all of their money and operations on hitting us again on our own soil like 911? We soldiers see a totally different fight then the citizens of this country see. And as a veteran and a slodier I would rather have my life on the line than a citizen of the country I swore to protect that isnt even trained to fight. Alot of people need to open their eyes and look at the big picture instead of looking short term. We have only lost 4000 men roughly in this war and it has been going on for 7 years. And America is going crazy. We lost 464,579 men in WWII. And america stood behind the troops and the president. They new the price of freedom. We arent america anymore. We are spoiled brats that need to wake up and not be sop selfish and learn to sacrifice some things to get rid of Tyrants and Terrorists.

I will give you a couple of points that will stop any terror from any Muslim group:
1) Immediate withdrawel of all american soldiers from Muslim land (send business men and ingeneers instead)
2) Immediate withdrawel of all Israeli's from the occupied Palestinian land, and the forming of a Palestinian state next to a Jewish state.
3) Stop the warmongering from the west towards Islamic nations.
4) Pay for your damn oil, like the Chinese do!!
5) Stop financing and aiding totalitatian regimes in the Islamic countries.

As long as these point are not met, there will not be any peace in the middle east (like Pac said)

From these points forward we can start building a true new world order for all to bare the fruits from.

My name is Dwaine Govan. In June of 2007 I had the most fortunate opportunity of purchasing your book,(Russell Simmons)Do You! from Barnes & Noble at your book-signing in Woodmere, Ohio. You gained even more of my respect as I saw at least 400 people waiting in line (myself being #322) to have their book signed by you and you graciously signed each book with nothing but love for your fans. While I was in line, I began reading through your book and to my amazement, this book embodied all the same principles as the reality show that I created, wrote, and own the rights to called "Empowerment 1 on 1!". When you envision your book as it applies to life, you are actually watching my show! This show will develop a new attitude among our youth. Success-driven, career-minded attitudes with a focus on loving and living life to its' fullest but now equipped with the tools to do so. When my turn came to meet you and get my book signed, I pitched my show idea to you. First you smiled and asked if I really wanted to pitch you instead of the networks. My reply was "Yes" and then I gave you a brief description of what the show was about. You then asked me if I had any property. Unfortunately, at the time I only had the ideas written down, nothing that I could pass on to you. You then told me that that was a good start and then proceeded to give me advice on how to get my show idea together. I've been following your advice and now I am the President and CEO of Thundersmuzik, LLC (an empowerment production company). Unfortunately though, before I attained the copyrights to the show that I pitched to you, I pitched it to another "Big Name" in the industry. This individual took my idea and sold it. Now the show concept that I created and pitched to you has just finished its second season on the MTV and Vh-1 network. It finished strong enough to go into a third season. How I found out that it was my show concept and not someone else's with the same idea, I later interned for the studio that the "Big Name" was the President of. He had one of his employees call me for an over the phone interview, and before he started the interview, he began by telling me about the projects that the studio was involved in and the projects that the studio just finished. Sure enough, he mentions the name of the individual that produced the show on the Viacom (MTV, Vh-1) network. When I called him on it later, he totally denied ever mentioning the producers name. I had to take that one on the chin and learn from my mistakes. Currently, I'm working on getting my other concepts produced and I'm making a little progress. Now I said all of this to say, Thanks Mr. Simmons for listening to me at your booksigning and for giving me the advice that you gave. You might not have been aware at the time, but you were giving me more than advice, you were giving me the confidence, the courage, and the determination to continue with what I wanted to accomplish. If you hadn't responded to me the way that you did, I probably wouldn't be CEO and President of my own independent film company.

I could have easily given up on my dreams and stayed content in a regular 9 to 5. It was your words that gave the inspiration to never give up. Now when I hear the word no, I take it to mean not this way but keep going. It's because of you that I keep going! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!



P.S. I have another concept for a show that will be as successful as the show that I pitched to you and even more impactful to Americans and how we view our soldiers.

One thought+One step in right direction= a possibility for peace. Take this from an Iraqi War veteran, peace patience, understanding, and TRUE open dialogue are the keys to this success. Mr. Simmons thanks for talking about something so significant and necessary. Most people don't realize the issues right in front of us. It's not black or white, conservative or liberal, Christian or Muslim....It's basic humanity in general.

Beautiful worlds, love it, future is as bright as sun, hope, love and peace are shinning stars of our path.

I hope that this note finds you well. I just wanted to say that as a young American who is just beginning to understand the many complex issues surrounding our United States government and how it relates to the social well being of all Americans, I must say that I found our President's speech very refreshing!!!! I look to leaders like you in the black community to endorse such speeches and efforts made by politicians and I just want to take a moment to applaud your efforts and say that you endorsing this message has a huge impact. I know that this is partly why you do it, but I belive that the other part of the reason is because this message is near and dear to your principal beliefs and hopes about about and for America.



I researched your Foundation for Ethnic Understanding and I really want to reach out to you. This past school year there were many atisemetic incidents that occured. Swastikas drawn on school buildings etc. The administartion at my small private liberal arts college did not do much of anything to comfort our jewish brothers and sisters at my University. In addition, they introduced Hirsi Ali, as a global leader by bringing her to our university through an annual speaker series. She outwardly denounced the muslim faith and created fear in our small town. This made it even harder for our small muslim population to live at peace in our college town. One of my proffessors wears a head dress and now people stare at her when she is walking in thr grocery store.



I know that you get tons of request for support from your foundation. I am hoping that you could offer some advice for handling this situtaion and helping young college students like me push the mission of our Presidents speech on a grass roots level, thus turning his words into actions!!!
