What Do Michelle Obama, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy & Tila Tequila Have In Common?

On twitter, my new favorite hangout, fridays are called "follow friday" where users give suggestions of friends to follow. This Friday I am thrilled to say people are following their hearts! In my heart today is Tila Tequilla (follow her at @officialTila)- who has contributed greatly to what is already a monumental week for animals and the people who fight the good fight for them. Our blogger, Tila Tequilla, trumped all of our other celebrity bloggers by handing in the most viewed and commented blog in the history of Global Grind on the subject of animal abuse

Overnight, more and more people were introduced to the horrors of the fur trade, all because she had the heart to speak up. Then, this morning I was just speaking to my friend Dan Mathews, VP of Peta, who told me that America's first lady, Michelle Obama and France's first lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy have declared themselves FUR FREE!!! This day marks a shift in human consciousness. We are finally, after years of going head to head with the fur industry, changing the way the world views fur. It is no longer being viewed as a way to floss and show off your status or bank account- it is now a billboard of cruelty on people's back. So, on Follow Friday I celebrate these victories with all my friends in the animal rights movement and now I will do what I always do, put my head down and get back to work.

We have very very far to go until all animals are liberated from pain and suffering..but dare I say, we are on our way.

I commend people for not wearing fur and advocating against the cruelty of animals. I eat meat especially chicken and ribeye steak. So, am I took look out for PETA. What about agriculture and the Farmers? It's a lot to ponder. Russell, whom I admire dearly is a known vegan and thereby I truly believe he is genuine in his efforts to eradicate animal cruelty. I'm just pondering. Cows, Pigs and Chickens are animals right.. We gotta eat:-)

I am sorry but Tila Tequila has proved this week to be nothing but a trailer park trash LIAR! She was all up defending the Peas and calling Perez all these nasty swears no woman should say, tonight she unfollows the NOH8 campaign cuz he is a follwer? either you do believe or you jump on the bandwagon when you feel like it. She is a dirty mouthed girl who uses the C word like it was a common greeting, Now thats a LADY like Michelle OBAMA -NOT!!! NOTHING BUT A WHITE TRASH SAD STORY- who does'nt realize what people are REALLY SAYING ABOUT HER -NO CLASS!

Sometimes I am amazed at these animal rights activists. We have so many pressing issues for humans- health care, homelessness, education,domestic abuse, the high number of black men in prison, poverty. We focus so much attention on the animals at times and ignore our fellow brothers and sisters. Many people from Hurricane katrina still need help and are struggling to take care of their families. Some dogs and cats eat better than people in this country and we ignore the homeless.

Dont worry I cant afford to buy a fur anyway....and if I did I wouldnt spend it on fur anyway.....this fur issue is such a materialistic issue, In many third world countries this topic wouldnt even be an issue as so many people cant even afford to buy a fur coat or its too damn hot for it. The average joe is just trying to survive, pay his bills and not loose their house in this recession.

The one thing I truly like about Michelle Obama is her frugal mentality about shopping for her and her kids. She wouldn't be spending a lot on a fur coat anyway, she is setting the right example for how people should act in a recession.

I have a friend (only 34) whose medical bills were so high after treating breast cancer (mastectomy) she lost her home. Now thats an issue I would love to discuss.

Was a bit disappointed with the site. I would love to see a section on hip hop business/entrepreneurship. There are numerous hip-hop entrepreneurs, they could share their business stories, setbacks, triumphs and give tips and blog about these issues. So bloggers would be both entertained and be educated, the site to encourage young people to start their own business or start thinking that way. The tips could be general so they can be applied to any field. To find these issues really discussed I always have to turn to the BE website/magazine. I particularly like ur news/poltricks section and all else...

If Tila is really for the animals and believes that hot girls "fake it", why would she be flaunting $2,000 Sergio Rossi Suede thigh high boots in a picture on her MySpace page? Please stop fronting that your a hardcore animal activist, when in fact, your half ass. If you REALLY care and are the real deal, educate people about veganism and pleather goods.

What is so "wrong" with comparing tila tequila and Michelle Obama, both are women in 2009, both support animal's rights and both work for what the believe is right. If you really think that Michelle Obama is really that much better than Tila Tequila you're wrong. They're both human and both make mistakes. Sure, Tila is a bit more...open about it. But I'm sure Mrs. Obama has stuff in her past she's done too. We ALL have. I don't believe it is right of ANY of us to say that Mrs. Obama is better or if Tila is a plastic whore. Both are human, both are doing what FEELS right to them and both are succesful in helping Animal's rights. Because, basically, Humans ARE animals, possibly the evilest deadliest kind of them. So people. THINK about what YOU'VE done before you hate on ANYONE. Regardless.

- i can't wait to see michelle obama in a some sex video whoring herself out for money because she so desperately want's to be famous. not. lol. i can't judge tila tequila but she can judge others. hahaha. you can't change the rules of equalization when it comes to something you don't like. i can say whatever i want about anyone. remember before carla was first lady and she whored herself out also. lol. i love how i'm probably never going to get a hand in life, but these ladies always seem to get the leg up. i shouldn't go to school like michelle at all...instead i need to do some nudey photos/videos. i'm not perfect either, but as long as we're being hypcritical, please allow me to join the fracas with my thoughts. thanks internet.
