“I WOULDN'T WISH THIS ON MY WORST ENEMY…”

So it's been a little over a year since Remy Ma has been in prison but it feels like forever since Remy Mackie formerly known as Remy Smith has been incarcerated.

I always find myself thinking about what I was doing a year ago, two years ago, five years ago today. I never remember exactly where till I find myself imagining where I would be today. I rarely listen to the radio because it’s sort of depressing. Not being able to record is stressful not because I’m a rapper but because that was my way of venting and expressing myself. So I write a lot! So much that now I have a callous on my finger from holding a pen. I guess I got used to texting my rhymes!

I get a lot of fan mail and everyone asks me how I’m doing? I say fine, the way I see it I never imagined making it this far with my sanity. Not being able to go somewhere when you want, see your family when you want (on many occasions when you need to), can't use the phone, take a shower, wear clothes, or even eat when you want - super aggravating. Whenever, which is almost everyday I get visits, a lot of kids ask for autographs. It’s something that I used to do almost everyday but now it actually feels weird, I really feel like an inmate.
And as much as I hate to admit it, I really am an inmate. I mean, it kind of grows on you when certain people go out of there way to make you feel like that.

They have this program called YAP (Youth Assistance Program) they keep asking me to join. It’s a program that brings inner city kids to the prison to show them what it’s like to be incarcerated. I hear that every group asks about me but I’m a little hesitant to join. They think it will give the kids a reality check that this can happen to anyone. I however feel that it’ll be more of the kids wanting to see Remy Ma the rapper and because of that they won't get that I'm actually in jail. So I'm still contemplating. If I figure out a way for them to actually get it, that this is really not a place you would ever want to be whether for 8 years, 8 months, or 8 minutes then I’ll do it.

Everyone in prison isn't innocent but everyone in prison isn't guilty. So whether you end up here on purpose or by accident, the pain you’re feeling is still the same.  And I can quote a lot "gangsters” by saying that “I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy…”

Forever Innocent,
Rem

  • Rema, I feel u,I know that's a fu**ed up place to be. Girl I have ask u what type of lawyer did u hire? He was not the one. I would have told u 2 take the deal and not go 2 trial. U shot your friend over a few mizzy bucks, c'mon and to still say ur innocence....a real baller gangster/friend would not have done that......that was dumb. And to make matter's worse there is still the potential of her filing a civil suit against u. Was being a gangster chic really that serious? Keep ur head up stay strong.

Come see me when you get out.
  • So,

I'm glad you "seeing" the error of your ways but you should've thought of that before. I know that you're a smart woman...but that sh*t was stupid! How can you claim innocence when you CLEARLY shot that woman who WAS SUPPOSED TO BE YOUR FRIEND? Did you really think you were gonna get off cuz you're a "celebrity" (barely, at that)? Seven more years to go...
  • I feel sorry for NOBODY who attempts to take the life of another. Prison is the place for her, not the streets. She needs to use this time to think about her actions and formulate a plan for changing her future. The saddest part is that she is still proclaiming innocence and not owning up to what she has done. May God bless your soul.
    • the question Remy has to ask herself is if she could do it all over would she do it again the same way. If she says yes and she should've got a better lawyer or whatever, then she deserves everyday she got. We all get mad at our friends over this and that but we dont give them one in the stomach. In 7 yrs Remy will get to see her son, because of what she did, her girl may not even be able to have children
  • First off Free Remy Ma!!! 2nd off Remy keep ya head up baby, and I been there too as a female & a mother like ya self that Sh*t tends to get to u but all u can do is "do the time, dont let it do u..." cuz ya days gonna go by alot slower if ya let it get to ya, feel me? And to all yall hatas U cant judge no one til u walk in their shoes, have yall lived that life she lived? Probrably not. So quit beein hataz and so judgemental none of yall was a witness to da crime she was accused of so Fall back and go blog some old hata Sh*t to sum drug adict famous has-been somewhere else like Lohan or Spears.
  • Must say, hideous costumes aside, Remy is kind of a cutie.

  • Well I hopy remy keeps her coochie tight you know what they say about curling Irons in prison......LOL
  • Remy just make sure your mat is fluffed up, and your jumper is clean, you did the crime you do the time! Cause if that was my sister or my mother you shot, jail would be heaven compared to my punishment. I like your music, I think you're a wonderful artist, I'm pumping a track by you now, but real n*ggas do real things, and do real time... Thats what seperates a thug from a wanna be thug.. Thugs got records.. Just relax, got your canteen straight, trade out a couple chickens for eggs, and learn your lesson... Thats what prison is for, cause if you dont you'll be back.
  • I FEEL YOU.. I BEEN IN THE SAME POSTION.. KEEP UR HEAD UP AND PRAY THAT GOD SEE YOU THU......

    Chin up Remy
