  I have a whole new perspective and great amount of respect for the artist Khia who currently resides in Atlanta.I bet most people only thought of Khia as a hardcore rapper who likes drama.(me included) After interviewing Khia, I found her to be much more than that and she even stated during the interview “I am more than just ‘My Neck, My Back’ “.Khia seems to be an all around entertainer and business woman. She stated that many interviewers don’t want to see the professional side of her because they simply are not looking for it. Controversy and drama sells. At times radio stations may cut individuals off abruptly after a question, leaving the fan base to speculate, when in actuality the artist had more to say. Khia mentions that is why she brings her own camera crew to interviews so her fans can see the real Khia.Khia is the sole operator of Thug Misses Entertainment and Khia reiterates that she is not signed to a major label therefore she has to do everything from the ground up at TME.For instance, the marketing promotion of her upcoming controversial album “Motor Mouf” is one of the many projects that currently keeps her busy. Also while juggling the upcoming responsibilities of her new album she is doing a live band tour titled the Nasti Muzik Live Tour. Now how many rappers do we know take the time to do a live album. It’s not a challenge that many artists are willing take but Khia is all for it. I like how you never know what to expect from her.She loves challenges and states that this tour gives her fan base the opportunity to see her creative side, that she is much more than just a rapper, but a great lover of music. Her motto is “I sing before I rap, I write before I sing “. She says that it is alot of hard work but at the end of the day it is very rewarding.What current projects are you working on?"I'm currently on the Nasti Muzik Live Tour, traveling with a live band. Remixing Nasti Muzik for the live album. My new album entitled "Motor Mouf" is scheduled to be release in the spring of 2010. What do you think is one of the biggest misconceptions about KHIA?"Hmmm... I don't know because I love them all the good the bad and the ugly! I guess Motor Mouf is perfect because I am mouth almighty I try to keep it real and say what I want, I'm a blogger and a creative writer and so I like the controversy and I like to keep my fans informed with what's going on with me, my music,and with all of the gossip and just everything the industry brings.So I guess besides being the H.N.I.C. I'm definitely an entrepreneur and I handle my business full fledge at TME and I think there's a bit misconception sometimes, they mix the music with the business and I'm definitely a business woman before the music and I tie everything together, I always think of creative ways to market myself,promote myself and brand myself and just get my music out there. Just being independent and having independent success. Alot of people don't know about all of the hard work that goes into it,alot of people think I have a major deal or I'm on a major label and that I've been sign and I'm not. I've never had a major deal and everything I've done I've built from the ground up and this is just hard work and dedication and at the end of the day I've been able to brand myself and make alot of noise being independent, so it's just one time for the independent under dog."Are there any charitable organizations you support?"No. But I'm looking to start my own non profit organization to give back in the future because they need me."What inspires you to keep going in this industry?"I have a love for music, I sing before I rap and I write before I sing.Everyday inspires me, what I see and what I'm going through.The fans keep me going and I love it! I love to write and I love to perform. It's a way for me to express myself and I'll be doing this for a very long time."Why haven't you shopped your own reality series yet?"Actually VH1 approached me with a show "Anger Management" after Miss Rap Supreme but you know, you know the money has to be right.
